With a robust background that combines IT, mental health clinician experience, and management, Rhonda is dedicated to advancing healthcare equity and is tackling healthcare disparities head-on. Her current project focuses on an innovative app designed to simplify access to healthcare providers and provide vital health information for underrepresented communities.
From her early days in a tech-prep program to her roles ranging from help desk technician to database administrator and deputy program manager, Rhonda’s career is marked by her relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence in IT. Her commitment extends into mental health, holding a license as a mental health clinician, and is reinforced by a strong academic foundation with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in community counseling.
Rhonda’s life story is one of overcoming obstacles, with a childhood marked by significant health challenges and inspiration drawn from caring healthcare professionals. These experiences ignited her advocacy for healthcare justice, aiming to end the cycle of underdiagnoses and late diagnosis in marginalized groups. Her life outside work is rich with hobbies, including jewelry making, sewing, and deepening her expertise as a wine and coffee connoisseur.
